Monticello is the autobiographical masterpiece of Thomas Jefferson. Designed and redesigned, built and rebuilt for more than forty years. Its gardens were a botanic showpiece, a source of food, and an experimental laboratory of ornamental and useful plants from around the world.
The machine is inside the gift shop by the parking lot, so you do not have to buy a ticket to access it. It is in the back behind all the counters. The designs cost 75 cents plus your penny.

1) Thomas Jefferson's signature,
2) Monticello Gardens,
3) Thomas Jefferson's profile,
4) Monticello house.
Nickel Size steel for purchase tokens:
1) 'Monticello, T Jefferson', His signature over house name with US Flag over/ Rear- Virginia around top over Cardinal in bush.
'2) 'Monticello', the image of house/ Rear- 'Virginia, The Old Dominion, State name top, Motto bottom with imacg of state in middle.
8/10/25 Machine is on the right side of the gift shop on the back wall. Images are the same as below. 3 quarters and one penny. All pressed perfect.
7/18/26 machine located inside of the gift shop door located closest to the steps to board busses. It rolls well,. If you are taking a later tour you probably will not be able to use it as the whole facility (including gifts shop) closes at 5:30 pm. NEF
