From collectors
Built by the Spanish in St. Augustine to defend Florida and the Atlantic trade route, Castillo de San Marcos National Monument preserves the oldest masonry fortification in the continental United States and interprets more than 450 years of cultural intersections.
The gift shop inside sells one token. You will need to pay the entrance fee of $15 per adult to access it (unless you have an NPS pass).
Design is:
Front: Crest of the Houses Castille and Leon.
Rear: View of the exterior of the fort with palm trees and cannons.
3/04/24: Just went to the Fort this week….could not find the machine….asked ranger…told they did not have one…would someone check?
This is correct, there is no machine here. Just a nickel size National Monument token near the cashier. NO MACHINE!!
