At La Bottega del Salento in Gallipoli you will find a wide variety of Apulian wines, a selection of typical Salento products, ranging from extra virgin olive oil to in oil, to jams, from Primitivo cooked wine to dried figs, canned taralli pasta frise and many other Apulian delicacies. In addition, champagne, rum, grappa, creams and bitters can be found here.
Hours of operation: Monday through Friday 09.00 (9:00 am) to 21.00 (9:00 pm). Call ahead to verify hours. They may be closed for lunch. Open late into the night in high season.
Admission: Free admission. No public parking nearby.
Machine 1 is outside in front. It may be to the right, left or across from the entrance. Cost to press: €1.05 each design (€1 coin and a 5 Euro cent coin). Designs all have "MC" at the catch notch and a beaded border:
1) (V) Female dancer in front of a spider web with 'La Pizzica Salento'.
2) (H) Fiery sun, a heart and ocean waves with 'I (Heart) Salento Gallipoli'.
3) (H) Basilica Cattedrale di Sant'Agata with 'Gallipoli'.
