Very close to Checkpoint Charlie, the Allied Checkpoint Souvenir shop has a penny machine outside.

The machine takes a 1-euro coin and a 5-cent coin. Designs are:
1) American checkpoint "Berliner Mauer 1961-1989"
2) Berlin Trabant and Fernsehturm
3) Famous Berlin logo and skyline.

3/25/25 The machine is on wheels so is probably only available when the store is open, so check the hours.
