The Alfred Hitchcock statue is a bronze monument on the Plage de l'Écluse promenade, depicting the famous director with birds (seagull and a crow) on his shoulders, honoring both his iconic film The Birds and Dinard's strong connection to cinema, especially its annual British Film Festival. The 9 foot (2.70 meter) tall statue, featuring Hitchcock with his hands on his hips, is a popular photo spot and a symbol of the town's cinematic heritage, with some even linking the area's mansions to inspiration for Psycho.

Hours of operation: Monday through Sunday 24 hours.

Admission: Free admission.
Public parking is available above the beach area.

Machine 1 is outside a short distance from the statue in front of the restrooms / underground passage. Cost to press: €1.05 each design (A 1€ coin and a 5 Euro cent coin). Designs all have a beaded border with 'Dinard':
1. (V) Statue of two birds on top of Alfred Hitchcock with 'Festival du Film Britannique de'.
2. (V) Historic villa with 'Le Roches Brunnes'.

06/17/2025. The machine is still standing. It's pressing the designs backwards. If you choose Hitchcock, it presses the house and vice versa. Images are well centered and great. Sandysunshine
