Tongass Trading Company Store #1

At the turn of the century, Tongass Trading Company supplied the miners and mining camps throughout Southeast Alaska. Today, Tongass Trading Company supplies commercial and sport fishing gear, hardware, furniture, and clothing to industry and residents of Southeast Alaska. Additionally, Tongass Trading Company is a popular stop for cruise ship travelers looking for uniquely Alaskan curios, gifts, and souvenirs. Tongass Trading Company has four locations in Ketchikan. They refer to the store location where penny machine is located as Store #1.

Hours of operation: Monday through Saturday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Sunday 9:00 to 4:00 pm. Hours may be seasonal.

Admission: Free admission. Plenty of free parking on the north side of the store.

Machine 1 is to the left of entrance on first floor, as you enter store from the pier. Cost to press: 51¢ each design. Designs all have 'JR' at the catch notch and a beaded border with 'Ketchikan Alaska':

3. (H) Bald eagle,
4. (H) Whale tail in front of mountains.
