The Carl Hayden Visitor Center is the main visitor center for Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Rainbow Bridge National Monument. It is located on the west side of Glen Canyon Dam. The Visitor Center has exhibits about recreation and historic water use. Tours of Glen Canyon Dam are closed.

Visitor Center operating hours: Monday through Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00. These may be seasonally extended hours, call ahead or check website to verify. Closed New Years, Thanksgiving, and Christmas days. Plenty of free parking.

Admission: Free admission.

There is no National Park Service phone at the Carl Hayden Visitor Center. The number listed is the main Headquarters number. Receptionist available at Glen Canyon Headquarters from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm MST, Monday through Friday. The phone is not monitored when the building is closed. There is no way to contact the gift store directly.

Machine 1: is in the gift shop. Gift shop is to the left as you enter the visitor center. Cost to press: 51¢ each design. Designs all have a beaded border with 'GCNRA' (Glen Canyon National Recreation Area):

3. (H) Sun shining below Rainbow Bridge with 'Rainbow Bridge'.
