The machine is inside the Welcome Center near the double doors. The center is Closed Major Holidays.
Hours of Operation: Memorial Day to Labor Day: 8am-6pm; Labor Day to Memorial Day: 8am-5pm.
The machine is a hand crank. It costs 50 cents to press a penny. Designs are:
1) Pony Express rider,
2) Fort Sedgewick - Swords crossed under western hat,
3) Last Days of the Buffalo - Buffalo,
4) Colorado "C" with mountain in center of it.
06/22/2024: I have tested this machine. It rolls well. However, some machines will hold penny until the design you want comes up, this machine is not one of them.
You MUST align the dots for the desired design. If you do not, you will get a miss pressing. Please keep this in mind. The staff were friendly. (ALA)
9/2/26: And very nice ladies that work at the welcome center, by the entrance.
