The Shreveport Aquarium is adjacent to the Red River, near the Texas Street Bridge. It contains seven galleries that hold the 3,000 animals in its care, and a restaurant named SALT. It is open all-year to the public as a for-profit aquarium and is currently seeking membership of the Association of Zoos and The hands-on experiences will not be available, you can observe with your eyes but under the current state order, touch exhibits are not allowed.
The café may not be open.
Mon - Fri- 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last entry)
Saturday- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last entry)
Sunday- Noon to 5 p.m (last entry)
Closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
Machine 1: All have 'Shreveport Aquarium' on them. Located in the gift shop. Designs are:
1) Stingray,
2) Jellyfish,
3) Shark.
4) Fishtail logo.
Machine 2: Located in the forest zone. Designs are:
1) State of Lousiana,
2: Shark,
3) Alligator,
4) Tortoise.
