The Children’s Museum inspires imagination and creativity through play-based learning experiences. At the Children’s Museum, children are encouraged to explore the world through interactive exhibitions and programs in the arts, sciences, and humanities.

Hours of operation: Daily 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Closed major Holidays.
No admission charge to enter the building to press the pennies.
Plenty of free parking.

There is also a penny machine at Carson Valley Currency & Coins, Inc. coin shop a minutes walk away down the street.

Machine 1: The penny machine is located inside the entrance doors to the left next to the gift shop. Designs all with 'Children's Museum Of Northern Nevada'. Designs are:
1. (H) Children's Museum building.
2. (V) Carson City located within an outline of the State of Nevada.
3. (H) Clown holding a banner with 'Carson City'.
