Visitors Center With a long tradition of entertaining and welcoming visitors from all over the world, Thomasville has been a hot spot for distinguished travelers since the late 1800s. Thomasville invites you to go in search of new treasures in our impressive downtown where you'll find premier shopping, exceptional dining and exciting antique stores within a leisurely stroll of one another.
Visitors Center is a smaller yellow building that is not well labeled. It is to the west of the old red train car which is located at the intersection of Trade St and W. Main St.
Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday only. No weekend hours.
When you enter the visitors center it is to the right against the wall. It is .51 per design. Designs are:
1) 'John R. Thomas Founder Thomasville, NC', statue,
2) 'World's Largest Chair, Thomasville', NC,
3) 'Carillon Clock Tower Thomasville, NC',
4) Souvenir of Downtown, Thomasville, NC', street light.
7/03/2025-Machine is still in the same location, to the right of the building entrance and was rolling nicely on coppers. Take a stroll up the block past the train car to see the gigantic chair if you have time. Totally worth it! CLH TEC #4871
