SOUTH WALES - Tintern · Wales
This machine is no longer here. The listing stays up because collectors come back years later to check whether the one they remember was real.
From collectors
Tintern Abbey was founded on 9 May 1131 by Walter de Clare, Lord of Chepstow. It is situated adjacent to the village of Tintern in Monmouthshire, on the Welsh bank of the River Wye, which at this location forms the border between Monmouthshire in Wales and Gloucestershire in England.
The new GEM machine is located inside the abbey shop.No entry fee needs to be paid. Consider buying a CADW membership, it only costs £18 and gives unlimited entry into many of Welsh magnificent castles
Machine Designs. Each cost £1, the penny is from an internal hopper, these were shiny and new. Each penny design had the name of the abbey in English and Welsh inside a ringed border
