This machine is no longer here. The listing stays up because collectors come back years later to check whether the one they remember was real.

From collectors

On September 30, 2013, the National Aquarium closed its doors to the public due to necessary renovations in the historic Herbert Hoover Department of Commerce building.

Since learning of the need to close, a National Aquarium Board task force has been exploring opportunities and funding options that would support the aquarium's goal of maintaining a presence in the capital, where a public aquarium has existed since the late 1800s.

4/27/14: Stay tuned for more updates on the National Aquarium's future presence in Washington, DC. (Cait Mears).
